As part of the expansion strategy we are looking for interested, qualified and competent candidates to fill the following position:

1. Job Title: Market Research Analyst

2. Reports to: Manager Network planning and market research

3. Job Purpose

The Market Research Analyst is responsible for reviewing/analysing the performance and trends of flights and the route/network in general in order to optimize the airlines network i.e. current and future destinations to be served, frequency of operation and network structure.

4. Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain industry statistics such as aircraft capacities, passenger minimum connecting times, passenger market sizes, average O&D fares, O&D market share statistics, estimated traffic and associated cost data;
Continually reviews and analyzes the performance and trends of flights and the route/network in general with regard to indices such as load factors, load per flight and yield, revenue, cost and profit and recommends ways and means for improvement;
Evaluates the economic viability of the seasonal schedule proposal by forecasting Market share in every Origin and Destination (O&D) Market traffic, operational revenue, cost and profit levels of each flight;
Conducts field market studies/surveys, participates in the collection and compilation of passenger traffic data and the establishment and development of a passenger and revenue data bank;
Studies the profitability of scheduled and non-scheduled operations and gives recommendations to management;
Conducts passenger market surveys/researches periodically and as deemed necessary and reports findings and recommendations to Management;
Assess the loads and requirements of passengers to determine the necessary frequency, day of operation and type of aircraft;
Analyses competitor’s passenger traffic in comparison with WB, evaluates the passenger market share of WB, and recommends ways and means to improve the share;
Provides timely data inputs for the preparation of the short/medium/long term operating schedule and for the continuous rationalization of the route/network;
Follows up the timely establishment of cost data for passenger flights with Finance;

5. Desired Profile: Required education, Experience and Abilities

Degree in Statistics or any other Mathematical related field;
Strong Analytical skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Computer literate;
Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly growing business;
Ability to learn and adapt to needs and changes quickly;
Able to work long hours with minimum supervision.
